11 Yo TB Gelding in Wellingborough

Selling on behalf of a family member: Luchie is 11 years old, he has been used for point to point previously, but the trainer decided to retire him as it wasn't for him. He has since been used as a bit of an all rounder, he has been showjumping, hunting, team chasing, he is amazing on the flat, a complete gentleman on the ground, perfect to catch, clip, shoe, load etc. he cannot be faulted. I have never had any issues with him in any way. Unfortunately towards the end of my pregnancy I had to turn him away and have not had the time to bring him back into work. This is a heartbreaking sale as he really has never put a foot wrong, but it's just not fair for him to be sitting out in the field. He will be sold from the field and tack is not included hence the low price. If you would like the tack to be included then I will be willing to let it go for a sensible offer. 10 year old TB 16'2 TB Gelding

10 year old 16'2 TB Gelding. We have owned Felix for just over a year and have come to the conclusion that he needs a home that has more time for him. He has come a long way since we brought him but needs more work and we just don't have the time. He schools beautifully the way he carries himself is delightful he has three lovely paces and has a lovely fluid movement, I could imagine him doing a very nice dressage test. We have never taken him out competing and apart from popping him over a little jump in our school he hasn't done any jumping since we have owned him so can't really comment on his jumping ability. We are definitely what you would call a happy hacking home so haven’t taken him to shows. He is best when ridden frequently although last weekend we rode for the first time in 3 months and hacked on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday he was excited and it took longer than usual to tack him up and as soon as my husbands bottom was in the saddle he was jogging up the road! He jogged around and was generally very excitable so we only did road work. On the Sunday he was like a totally different horse, stood quietly to be tacked up, easy to mount and was cool as a cucumber so we went out for a good 2 hours and had 3 canters and a gallop. It was very pleasant hack. My husband and I mainly hack together which Felix does prefer but he has hacked alone and if he did it more I am sure he would settle much more quickly. We hack down fairly busy roads and he is fine, he does very occasionally do excited little bucks, not in nasty 'I am going to throw you off way' just I am excited and I want to go. Where he needs the most work still is on the ground he has a nervous disposition and will need a patient owner who has time to gain his trust. He isn’t at all nasty and does have stable manners he just gets nervous. We clipped him this weekend and we do it in stages so it takes 2 days rather than a few hours. He will stand to be groomed for 20 minutes and then gets fidgety, he takes longer than you average horse to tack up, nothing at all nasty he just has trust issues. He loads fine in either a box or trailer but doesn't like travelling alone, we tend to load him last and then out first to try and keep his mood as calm as possible. He can't be left in a field by himself or left on the yard by himself. He is good for the farrier and has never been lame or had any health problems. Up to date with jabs. Riley is a 9 year old, 16hh, TB gelding. Riley is for sale through no fault of his own, I don't have the time or facilities to let him reach his true potential. Also I have fallen out of love with the sport and feel Riley is being wasted stuck in the field.
