Rodney is a lovely chap. Easy to handle, loved having his bath. Good to have mane pulled. He is 14.2hh 4yr old Irish bred with passport, microchipped, flu and tet jab. He is brilliant on lead rein -falls asleep. He is capable of walk trot canter off lead, is still laid back so requires encouragement to go forwards. Good breaks. Happily stands as his rider laughs herself into a right state. Pops small jumps. Is green in the arena, requires work on steering but very honest and so far quite safe. Has been on the roads a handful of times with us seeing cars and vans without issue - okay with tractors/trailers and lorries so far as he can meet them head on, but this is improving with work. Harley is a great pony from the ground and fabulous around children, young and old, allowing even the youngest to handle him. He will stand all day to be groomed and petted. He has never put a foot wrong on the lead rein but when off of this he has at times a habit of napping unpredictably when ridden out hacking or in the school. For this reason he is unsuitable for young riders off of the lead rein or inexperienced older riders. He has a superb jump, never refusing but can nap at times, especially when competing. At 5yrs old 'Wee Guy' has a good understanding of the disciplines. He is eager to please, learns quickly and would make someone an ideal pony for pony club activities. He enjoys hacking, is good with traffic and is happy to go out both alone and in company. He has done some crosscountry schooling (tackling tyres, logs and barrels with ease) and was very sensible in open space. He has a lovely stable manner but can sometimes be nervous when handing his feet. He is currently living out in a mixed field of mare and geldings, he is a very sociable pony and enjoys the company of others. He is a super pony with great potential.
