Sadly we are having to rehome our 2 male guinea pigs. They were bought from our local pet shop just a month ago at approximately 8 weeks of age. We were advised that they are the perfect pet for young children, however, our 2 and 3 year olds are really obsessed with them. So obsessed that we have had to cable tie the cage shut for the majority of the day as they are constantly opening it, trying to climb in it and generally terrorising the poor piggys. Everyday we get them out to be handled, they love cuddles and running round, but often get chased by the toddlers making it very stressful for them. They are skittish by nature and feel that they are best suited to older children who can calmly cuddle them. Teddy is brown and white with semi long hair (teddy breed), he is confident and friendly. He loves to run around and loves his food. Smokey is a little more nervous and likes to be held and stroked, he certainly isn't a fan of the two giant home invaders that are my children. I would love these to go to a great home where they would get lots of cuddles and attention. They have a cage, hay, food, a plastic igloo, wooden arch, water bottle, and plastic tunnel. I have 2 healthy male guinea pigs looking for a new home. They are just over 1 year old and are accustomed to being handled, although they are a little shy. They come with a hutch in good condition, with a removable bottom for easy cleaning, any extra bedding, toys, treats and any extra food. The indoor cage is older and missing a few clips that secure the top to the bottom but still perfectly useable should you want to keep them in a shed or somewhere else over the winter.
