2 lovely Pure Bred Copper Black Maran Cockerels looking for new homes. Hatched from darkest eggs and will pass on the "chocolate" gene. Hen reared so have good manners & hen etiquette. Have been free range, but reluctantly must re home as cannot put them in confined space in the covered run with their Dad (as currently required by DEFRA to avoid exposure to Avian Flu/ migrating waterfowl) so are in small covered run together. Young Nankin cockerels.

We have have three young boys that were hatched in July.They are free.and I could deliver within Devon, Dorset or Hampshire. They have the great advantage that their crow is pretty quiet compared to other breeds and they make good garden hens. These birds are very rare. They are one of the oldest true bantams to be introduced in the UK, thought to be around the from China / Asia. In rare breed enthusiast Andrew Sheppy set out to track down the last Nankin flock. They were widely believed to be extinct. He discovered that a Mrs Peters from Sussex was rumoured to own a flock of Nankin bantams. He travelled to her farm & to his amazement a large flock of Nankins were running around. They were the only chickens the family owned. He purchased a trio for £1 & began a breeding programme, along with a small number of other fanciers who also purchased stock from the Peters' family. They remain part of the rare breed society & need a dedicated following to keep them going. Read More

Two young cockerels roughly 3 months old, do not know the exact date as the hen disappeared. The hen was a bantam leghorn but I do not know which cockerel it was.
