This came out of my canal boat. It was recently overhauled but I have had trouble with the fuel pump and cant get it to run. I am not a mechanic at all and someone who knows about these things will surely sort it easily. It comes with the engine mounts and bolts too. It's electric start and has a charging alternator. YANMAR 1GM10 8HP ENGINE.

This little engine came with my sloop and was never fitted. It comes complete with starter motor, alternator, wiring loom and small ignition and starter panel. It has its four mounting brackets and had been newly serviced. However that was over three years ago and this little engine has languished in my garage since then. As you will see from the label it is an 8 hp slow rev motor designed to run forever. My sloop was sold and the engine wasn't required and my wife has given me an ultimatum "it goes or I do" It makes sense that it gets the chance to get back on the water doing what it does best. For sale is my island plastics IP24 boat. Great sea boats with canoe/cruiser stern and high bow. I have owned this boat for around a year but new baby means I don't have any time to spruce her up. Hull in good solid condition made with heavy layup but needs a little paint, Wooden gunwales need replaced as does engine cover/box. Wooden keel strip is solid as are engine bearers etc. Has fibreglass fuel tank and recently galvafroid the rudder. Rear deck is chequer plate on marine ply. High bulwark so safe for fishing. Comes with aluminium wheelhouse and fore deck that need fitted. Is fitted with Yanmar 40hp engine with only 39 hours use. Was fitted just before it was taken out of the water where it has sat for some years but since I bought it around a year ago I have had the engine running no problem.
