On offer a rare natural wood, Yamaha SG-175, the top of the range SG that hit the music scene in . This Yamaha SG-175 initially caught the eye of Carlos Santana who tried and tested the Yamaha SG-175 out. Although he thought it a great guitar, he deemed the SG-175  too light, and hence lacked the sustain he was looking for. Yamaha Music Co used his input in design and functionality to develop the now famous Yamaha SG-, probably the earliest famous Yamaha electric guitar. The changes to the SG-175 design meant a evolution to a heavier and contoured solid body electric guitar, the Yamaha SG-. For weight and resonance transfer, a brass block was added under the bridge and the guitar was made with a thru body neck Copies of some of the  original hybrids of SG- can be seen on his Santana’s live renditions of “She’s not there”, “Europa”, “Black magic woman” and more recordings from the album “Moonflower”. The Yamaha SG-175 was produced in only small numbers, as only the best of the best of materials were used and is now a very sought after instrument amongst Yamaha SG aficionados. It is a brilliantly  high-quality guitar built with a Honduran Mahogany body, bound with ornate abalone binding, the set neck is made from one-piece bound mahogany with ebony fret-board, again with decorative mother of pearl split-wing markers. The headstock is quite plain with triple binding surrounding the wood, there is no decorative floral motif inlay as common with the later SG- and SG-, just the Yamaha Logo. Yamaha SG 200 guitar - Brown sunburst finish

Built back in the early ’s and in pretty good condition for its age. It does have one or two characteristic marks but nothing major as you can see. Fitted with two Yamaha high output humbucker type open coil pickups, with chrome-plated hardware. Had the guitar for some time now but do not play it anymore. I think its time for it to go to a new home. - This guitar is a great player. The neck, fingerboard and frets are still in great condition. Unfortunately, I do not have a hard guitar case for it so I would much prefer collection in person. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Yamaha Super Combinator - SC-, Natural Wood, Thru Neck Vintage Japanese Guitar from Japan's 'Golden Era' of guitar manufacture. The Japanese Yamaha SC electric guitar was produced only from and offered a customised take on the three-pick-up solid body guitar concept. Features included a familiar double cut offset Alder body (Strat Style) with Maple and Mahogany Thru-neck construction; Ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays; Three original single coil pick-up with 'Super Combination' On/Off switching providing range of sounds that had not yet been possible from a conventional 5-way switching system like the original Stratocasters; 13 different combinations possible with an enormous tonal variety. The guitar is very easy to set up due to its fixed bridge with 6-individual saddles. This guitar is 36 years old and in remarkably good and all original condition. The guitar has a 24 fret thru neck onto a solid mahogany body, beautifully crafted and well balanced. It has two F-I humbucker pickups each with independent volume and tone controls, and features the coil-tap option for a max variety of tonal controls. Good quality hardware and tuners, versatile and solid, and accurate. The wood stain is gorgeous with a quality finish. The ebony fretboard makes for a very nice playing experience The guitar sustain is amazing. The F-I pickups do sparkly clean tones and will hold their own against powerful, high gain distortion without any feedback at high volume that old pickups will often give you. No noise or interference, sound wiring of a high standard. The action is beautifully low with no fret buzz to be heard anywhere on the neck. After inspection of the internal wiring, you can tell that this guitar was hand built carefully by someone who definitely knew what they were doing. The build and wiring of this guitar will outdo most modern high end guitars. Being over 30 years old, the guitar is very clean and has few marks to show for it, it's safe to say that this guitar can take quite a beating. All the hardware is very solid. This guitar is a brilliantly kitted out for a mix of blues/classic rock inspired playing, both for rhythm and lead.
