I've owned this beauty from new (), she's been lightly gigged and lovingly maintained ever since. Superb versatile horn which can sound as sweet as you like or growl and wail with the best. Fast action and great intonation up to altissimo. As you'd expect there are a few small marks but recently re-padded and in good condition. Yamaha YTS-275 Tenor Saxophone

The Yamaha YTS-275 is a perfect horn for both new players and for players who are perhaps a bit more advanced but need a back up horn. I bought it new from Allegro in Oxford around 15 years ago and it has always performed flawlessly (I wish I could say the same for my playing!). It has a lovely tone, plays easily and has good tuning and it is beautifully made. The only reason for me selling it is that I've bought something a bit more suited to my current needs and sadly that means having to sell this sax. It was my first tenor and I have to say I think I might feel like I've lost a limb when it's gone! It's in good shape, never dropped and therefore no dents or dings however there are a couple of places where the lacquer has been marked but nothing you wouldn't expect of a horn of this age I don't think.

YOU WILL HARDLY FIND ANOTHER ONE IN SUCH GOOD AESTHETIC (ONLY THE SLIGHTEST PITTING) AND PLAYING SHAPE, HENCE THE PRICE IS FIRM AND TOTALLY WORTH. THIS IS A LATE UNIT WITH A S/N IN THE 18K RANGE (WHEN TH 62 PRODUCTION HAD STARTED ALREADY). PREVIOUS OWNER MUST HAVE BARELY PLAYED TO HAVE KEPT IT IN THIS SHAPE. RECENTLY ADJUSTED BY SAXCOUK IN LONDON, OCTAVE LEVER EXTENDED TO USE OTHER YAMAHA AND SELMER NECKS (I DID TRY THE V1 YAMAHA AND SELMER III IN STORE BUT ENDED UP PREFERRING THE SOUND OF THE STOCK NECK: YOUR OPINION MAY DIFFER THOUGH). Lovely tenor saxophone for sale. I learned to play on this, but is also good for experienced players. Comes with hard travel case, two neck straps, cork grease, polish cloth, spare reed and original manual. There are some scratches to the saxophone (mainly the left side where it would rest against my leg) which hopefully can be seen in the photos (this is just from playing as normal), but otherwise is in good condition and sounds lovely. Yamaha YTS 275 Tenor Sax

I bought this some years ago from Allegro in Oxford but have now gone back to playing flutes, hence the sale. The sax has only been played lightly at home, and hardly at all for the last 5 years. As far as I am aware it is in perfect condition (see photos). The sax was made in Japan, and included in the sale are Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, some reeds, the original hard case, a padded neck-strap, and a couple of pull-throughs for cleaning. The YTS-275 is often described as an ideal instrument for students. If you are just starting on the sax, then feel free to bring a friend with you to check it out properly as my own playing will probably not do it justice. If you have any questions, just let me know.
