Classic s Yamaha DX27 Digital Synthesizer being offered for spares or repair only. Includes power supply. I've owned this from new, and was using it only yesterday, but this morning it wouldn't power up - the display remains blank when I flip the power switch. I've tested the power supply with a multimeter and that's fine. PLEASE NOTE - this has been modified as follows: a few years ago the RAM battery went flat. After opening up the case and seeing that the battery was soldered to the motherboard (!) I decided to embark on some internal alterations, and soldered a couple of metal poles to the battery terminals on the motherboard. I then connected a couple of cables to these poles, ran these outside the case of the keyboard, and connected them to a CR battery with tape and clips. So there are a couple of cables with a CR dangling from the outside of the case.This arrangement has been working fine until today!
