18 inch Heather Moffett St. Merryn Dressage saddle for sale. Tree can be adjusted by manufacturer, Barry Swain, but is currently set to about XXW. Very comfortable memory foam seat and the large knee blocks on the outside of the flap make it very secure to ride in. Stirrup bars are set back so your leg hangs effortlessly in the correct shoulder, hip, heel alignment. Very comfortable Saddle for horse and rider. These were very expensive saddles in their day and are now hard to find. It is in excellent condition for its age and has been lovingly looked after and always kept in the house. Although it has been surplus to requirements for several years I have kept it "just in case" because I was reluctant to part with it but it's just gathering dust. Thorowgood T8 Cob GP saddle black 17.5" XW/XXW

Brought this saddle for young horse who was growing and changing shape approximately a year and a half ago. Purchased as it was adjustable, but he has now levelled off and I'm buying a dressage saddle as this is the direction we are moving towards. Thorowgood advertise this saddle as a good all-round saddle for the rounder build and the low withered Cob-type horse. It has a medium depth seat is ideal for a range of riding activities and offers 4 girthing options to achieve maximum saddle stability. Synthetic underneath but has a quality leather seat and knee pads and gives the feel of riding on an all leather saddle. It is also flocked with 100% British wool. The saddle current is set with the yellow S bar gullet plate which equates to XW/XXW. I also have the white gullet plate - XW and the red gullet plate - W.
