PARATROOPER ARMY COMBAT JACKET SMOCK DENISON AIRBORNE TROOPS

British Army paratroops type military camouflage jacket. According to the white label inside it's a Size 7 Smocks Denison (Airborne Troops), about which I know next-to-nothing! Big and baggy, in very good condition. Brass half zip, brass poppers which say 'Newey' on them. Four front pockets, press stud flap at the back which fastens at the front, elasticated khaki cuffs, metal vent holes under the arms. Camo cloth it's made from looks hand-dyed to me and of an older canvas type, rather than modern close-weave cotton, but I'm no expert. Collar is lined in a rougher khaki material. Has a hole in the inside collar where the stitching's come undone, has a wear hole in one cuff and some fraying to the cuff edges. Other than that I see no wear or damage. Good for the militaria collector, for re-enactment or general outdoor wear, hunting, shooting, fishing, etc. Probably not very good for jumping out of planes! I have some idea of price on these - I know they are sought-after so make me an offer! Not something I will ever use, so better to go to someone who will, I think. WW Airborne Forces steel helmet with leather harness. A scarce example by Briggs Motor Bodies, Ltd (Dagenham), the skull is painted with light green finish and is complete with webbing and leather chin harness. For sale is a British Army Para Smock, ( pattern) Issued/Used - but in great condition, minor wear and fading as expected from ex/used military clothing Size Label is missing, i believe it was (height/chest in CM) LARGE Highly sought after combat smock/Jacket with wool cuffs, And is the modern equivelent of the old Denison Para Smocks. I personally used one of these (with doneky tail removed) for a few years while serving as my main field jacket. Each one of these ages individually with the wearer and so each becomes unique. History of this Smock: this smock was original owned and used by a member of the Royal Marines, and was used in training and on Operations in Northern Ireland and Bosnia.
