WW1 soldier made trench art shells
Two German WW1 shells both dated June and both from the Haniel Luege, Dusseldorf munitions factory. The first shell is engraved "Souvenir of the Great War " on one side and then has a rose bush with several flowers on it on the reverse and a leaf pattern going all around the bottom. The second shell is engraved "Souvenir of the Great War " on one side and then has two roses on the reverse and a leaf and grape pattern around the bottom.
