Incredibly rare, and at the time of placing this advertisement this is the only example I could find anywhere on the internet. Made in their Tudor Brown finish the unit comes in 2 pieces with the top section removable for easy transportation. The top section has 2 cupboards either side with leaded light doors and a single shelf in each. There is also a hidden drawer in the centre and concealed lighting. The bottom desk section has a cupboard to the left, with a sliding shelf and space under for at least 2 printers. In the centre concealed by a beautifully carved door is a sliding shelf for keyboard, mouse, Apple touch pad etc. Under this shelf is a sliding wooden shelf which can be moved to either the left or right providing a useful extra work surface. On the right are 3 deep drawers providing further storage space. Overall height is 67" Top section 58" wide, 18" deep and 35.5" high. Desk size is 59.5" wide, 30" high, and 23" deep. The guitar is finished in cherry red. The neck is made up of a three-piece maple/beech/maple finish and a rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is known for its standard mother of pearl flower motif. This semi-acoustic electric guitar is the three humbucker pick-ups variant, has the Staple pickups option, as compared to the Blade pickups and the Hofner factory fitted vibrato tailpiece (tremolo). Serial No (registered) 'Hofner website' Top of the regular range of Hofner archtops, the Committee was designed to impress. The Committee sported the over-large "frondose" headstock (this one) up to , when this was replaced by a President size headstock, but still retaining the impressive "tulip" style mother of pearl inlays in the facia. Birds eye maple veneer was almost exclusively used for the body back and sides, with carved solid spruce body tops, although these seem to have been replaced with laminated tops during the 's, The Committee retained its single Venetian (rounded) body cutaway throughout its production span, which ended around about .. The neck is made of maple and mahogany in a five-part construction, and is supported by an ebony fingerboard; Splendid inlays tell the player the locations. The characteristic 'high-end' frondose headstock signifies this to be one of Hofners better guitars of the time.
