A Baroque style carved and polychrome wooden crucifix -
Virtually in full round cut, the perizonium held together by a cord.The corpus is of beautiful quality. It has a nice patina and a very warm serene look.Origin: this Crucifix hung on the altar of an ancient Nunnery in the Leuven region, Belgium. Originally, however, it is in Habsburg Baroque style, probably Tirol region.This piece is approx. 250 years old and bears traces of wear by age and religious custom, it has some old imperfections, see pictures.
