Wood sculpture of an eagle

I have owned this impressive piece for a number of years but due to "downsizing", it now has to find a new home. Although carved in wood, I cannot be sure of its origins or type of wood used. What I can say that it is a very impressive & imposing item and stands around " tall and around 36" from wingtip to wingtip. Again, I don't believe that any photo can do this piece justice.
