He is super safe to ride and suitable for a novice. Good in heavy traffic, on all roads and not silly in open spaces or on grass. Acer was bought for our riding school and has been used by us on treks but unfortunately doesn't enjoy being in the arena and we need more of an allrounder on a long term basis as we are only a small yard and this is the reason for his sale. He's good to do in all ways both in the stable and field. Good with farrier, vet, catch, load and travel. Currently unshod but would benefit from a pair of front shoes. Fully passported and chipped. Has been vaccinated but will need restarting. He has a small indent to his face where he was kicked as a foal but his markings mask this and it does not affect him in any way. For sale sports horse gelding 16hh, 10 year old. I decided to retire Charlie from competing last year as he seems to like to have a slower pace in life so has been turned away and living in the field since last August. I have another horse I compete and paying two lots of livery is proving quite expensive. How ever much I would love to keep him I feel now is the time to sell him for Some one else to enjoy him. Spirit is your very typical thoroughbred! He gets stressed out easily and does not hold his weight through winter! Saying this he is also the sweetest horse ever. I have owned spirit for 4 years and within this time we have competed in dressage, showjumping and cross country. Due to his age I am only selling him as a happy hack and low level dressage horse, he will happily jump a few jumps for fun but he does get quite stiff in he hocks of too much has been done. As I have mentioned he is quite a stressy horse, he isn't the biggest fan of being in the stable and will box walk and tries to weave, he can be quite bolshy so needs an owner who is not afraid to take charge and tell him what's what. When undersaddle he is the perfect gentle man, he is 100% anyone's ride, he will hack alone but will call out for majority of the ride but won't cause you any hassle is literally just calls out, he is perfect in company and I can just walk him buckle end for majority of the ride. There isn't much that he is afraid of, he has hacked down the busiest of roads seeing big artic lorries (he gets a little nervous if they overtake him but doesn't do anything silly) and speeding cars. He isn't afraid of other animals like cows sheep and pigs. His biggest downfall is tractors, he is terrified of them. Once he has settled into a yard and with the other horses he is such an easy horse to deal with, sometimes you forget that he is even there, but it does take a while for him to get comfortable, he is best suited in a herd as he does get attached if he is only in a pair, when In a larger group he will quite happily be left in the field on his own of all other horses need to come in. Rocky is the sweetest boy ever and this is the hardest thing I am having to do! Purely due to my own personal circumstances my whole life in the last year has completely changed and I am having to make the heart breaking decision to sell up and give up my horses. They have done nothing wrong but I can not care for them how they deserve therefore I need to find them a new mummy to care for them and give them the life they deserve. So this is Rocky a 14 year old ex racer he is as good as gold unfortunately not his fault but I’ve not done much with him since I bought him I broke my leg, moved house twice, broke up with partner and also was seriously ill therefore was unable to ride! Fabulous 7 year old happy hacking/hunting pony. Bob is an absolute gentleman on the ground, will stand all day to be groomed and great for blacksmith, to box, catch and clip. He was bought in December from the field and brought back into work with the intention of being a PC all-rounder. However, we have since discovered that he is far from keen on schooling but that his forte lies in hacking and hunting. He is great to hack out and isn’t bothered by traffic, farm machinery or flappy plastic! Bob rides bigger than his size and is a light, forward ride for a cob. He is in no way a kick a long but is a safe and sensible hack and knows his job out hunting. He is believed to have hunted previously in Ireland and was hunted here over the season by a previous rider who has kindly allowed me to include her photos. He has a bold scopy jump and is foot perfect in the field. He would be a fantastic hunting pony or hack for a capable teen or small adult. I am 5’4” and 9st and he would carry me all day. Bob turns out with mares and geldings and can also be lead from. I would love to keep him but he must be sold to fund the purchase of a PC pony for my son. Hi I'm looking on behalf of my friend. She has ridden all her life but due to work commitments and her own 12 year old cob having arthritis and is no longer ridden she hasn't been riding for a year properly. She is in her early 50's and weighs around 12 stone, balanced rider that easily walk, trot, canter. She has loaned and ridden other people's horses but now feels it's time to purchase again. She loves hacking and joins her friends on Saturdays for a steady hunt during the winter. The horse would have to be 14.3hh - 15.3hh stocky type if 14.3hh and must be a comfortable ride. Something that will pop a very odd small jump and is bombproof in heavy traffic. Would need to stand to mount and not be sharp or silly. Age isn't an issue as long as it is safe and has an experienced head on its shoulders. Nothing over 14years would be nice though! No fine types unless is 15.1hh and over no tb's unfortunately. She has her own stables and the horse will want for nothing and will be kept untill that hard time comes. We need to find the right horse as it will be a life long home. Must not buck, rear or bolt.
