Fits to the vehicle without using the tow ball, so a trailer/caravan can be towed at the same time as the cycle carrier. Damage to one of the clamps as shown in one of the photos but that clamp can still be used. Straight vertical column, suitable for most hatchback/estate cars with angled tailgate. Uses a retaining strap between the carrier and vehicle boot to further secure the carrier to the car. The carrier arms fit together securely in seconds. Witter Bike Carrier - fits to Witter tow bar - clamps for two bikes

This bike rack is what I would describe as a 'proper bit of kit' - I bought it because I really don't ever want to be driving a car and have a bike fall off! In the event, I have used it less than half a dozen times. It fits to a bracket on a Witter tow bar. PLEASE NOTE. This bracket is not supplied - it went with the car when I sold it some time ago. I have included a picture of the bracket you would need to get hold of separately. The rack has clamps for two bikes - I'm fairly sure you can add more clamps - looking at adverts for similar looking Witter Racks they are described as being able to take 3 to 4 bikes.
