This is a unique opportunity to purchase a professionally built Windboats LOA) bluewater cruising ketch. At over 15 tons this is serious offshore boat. As you can see from the pictures the boat is halfway through a refit. A lot of the hard and structural work has been done to a high standard but there is more to do. To date the boat has had; Completely new teak decks laid on Lloyd's marine ply (labelled as Lloyd's approved). New laminated deck beams. A brand new Mermaid Marine 80 horsepower marine diesel and PRM gearbox A new deck saloon, again in Lloyds approved materials and GRP sheathed New ocean grade windows New main Lewmar hatch to deck saloon. All ballast Epoxy encapsulated Pretty much every piece of equipment and hardware needed to finish the job comes with the boat along with the original comprehensive blueprints. The sails, cushions, winches, deck fittings etc are all in dry storage Work needed; The hard work is pretty much done. Hull is in primer and could be top coated as is but there are chips and scrapes and so we were fairing these to achieve a better finish but this is a personal choice. Rudder needs refitting Decks need final sand at the aft end of the boat Engine needs connecting Tanks need installing Deck hardware needs fitting including the rig Running rigging needs replacing Finally the interior, currently the bulkheads are in but apart from the forecabin the boat is then pretty much a blank canvass ready for your own input. The plans show various layout options so you can design the interior to suit. This is a fat boat with a massive amount of space down below meaning that in many areas if you wished household sized equipment and appliances could be used saving a fair bit of cost over using marine items, it depends on your aspirations. The boat would make a great liveaboard but is really designed to be a serious cruiser to cross oceans. If you have plans to head off but are working to a budget this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. Reluctantly for sale due to other commitments, we will consider a smaller boat or classic car in part exchange. Mariner Safari 20ft river and canal cruiser. with almost new 9.9hp mariner engine

Includes the 9.9hp Mariner engine (electric and pull start) which is about 4yrs old, so almost new with only a few hours running up and down the river. Also includes 3 extra engines for spares or repair. 1 x 15hp Honda outboard. Actually a good engine but the gears need attention. 1 x 9.9 Honda outboard and 1x 7.5hp Honda outboard. Many interchangeable parts so both engines should make a running engine. All above engines have controls and linkages included. The boat itself has been out of the water on dry dock for just over 18 months and the pictures were taken just before it was taken out of the water. the bottom has been jet-washed and is awaiting a coat of anti-fowling paint and the cabin exterior and deck would like a lick of paint. This boat has been loved by us for over 15 years, but we have bought a bigger boat and this one needs to go. The exterior looks a little sorry due to being left in a boatyard for 18months, but it is mostly just cosmetics, paint and general boaty upkeep jobs. We simply do not have the time. Theres as little or as much work to do as one would like. Rincewind could go in the water straight away exactly how it is or it can make a great little project for anything from a bit of tidying up to total restoration. The cabinis fitted mainly origional due to the grp constructio, so the seats are moulded as part of the boat with the origional cushions. I covered the cushions myself, put in the curtains myself and lined the roof with oakfaced ply. This was mostly done when I bought the boat, so quite a while ago. Still in acceptable condition and perfectly habitable for a nights sleep or it could be completely reffitted by the new owner. Cabin height is unusually high for a 20ft boat I am 5'8" and can almost stand upright inside, so more headroom than a lot of boats of this size.
