Extremely rare white faced Spanish young cockerel
I am one of a very limited number of breeders of this stunning white faced Spanish. The White Faced Black Spanish is thought to be the oldest Mediterranean breed. Although it takes one or two molts for its distinguishing look to appear, a mature White Faced Black Spanish has a completely white face, and large white earlobes that hang very low. This “painted face” look earned them the nicknames “Clown Faced Chicken,” or “Clown Chicken” for short. The hens lay very large white eggs. I can recommend a fantastic breeder at manor farm who can supply you with hens but sadly I don't have any available due to a fox attack. Traits: White Faced Black Spanish, or WFBS, have a bright red single comb, a black beak, pure white face, dark brown eyes, and dark legs with four toes. Their feathers are completely black throughout the body. They are hardy birds but will require their combs to be protected during very cold winters. This is simply done by rubbing Vaseline over their combs. I have only 1 cockerel available now. Read More
