A Beautiful Whippy Side Saddle for sale all leather seat. She (Miss Whippy) has been kept in good condition since I brought her. I only tried her on my horse who I have since lost and she is now for sale as she will not fit any of my horses I now have as she is for a TB built horse. She is reinforced for jumping cutback to cantle is 17 inch, seat width 13 inches, 16 diagonal tree points (to outside edge), 7inches d to d.She does have a couple of worm holes on the seat which do not affect her use and can not be seen once sat on her and she has some scuffs on the leaping head all of which can been seen in the photos. Here is a beautiful Whippy Steggall & Co, South Audley Street London Saddle. I am not sure of the age, but it is in good condition with no tear  or cuts. I have included 12 picture to show off the condition. Steggall was a very well known english maker of Saddles. (Google for information) I belieive they can be quite rare, depending on the age. This would make a wonderful assesory or maybe could be used ?

Newly made OFF SIDE side saddle for a draft horse. The riders legs go to the right hand side. Size XW Tree, 18" diagonal points. 18"length of Seat, 14"width of seat. This saddle is for a very wide horse. I designed the tree to be flatter and broader to accommodate a true draft horse with no/minimal withers.  This one has a regular stirrup bar, with the counter part stirrup leather. A collaspable iron MUST be used. Imported leather with English sent metal parts, fine suede seat and pommels, wool flocking. This is a non jumping saddle. It is not reinforced enough to absorb the pressure a jumping side saddle demands. This saddle comes with an adjustable stirrup leather and balance strap. You will need to provide a safety iron and girth. I do sell draft girths, 60" upwards if needed, but you will have better idea what size to order once the saddle is on your horse. This was our first saddle, called the 'Malone'. I took them to Beta years ago, they have also appeared at the Side Saddle Nationals for the past 3 years. They are great starter saddles, but I am focusing on our European saddle now, which can be made for a draft horse, but these last few will not be continued. Extremely Rare Riding Home Spare Stirrup made by Whippy and Co. This stirrup would be attached to the girth straps on the offside to allow the groom to ride the tired horse home astride. From the estate of Lady Margaret Fortesque, Castle Hill, Devon, kindly donated by her daughter, Lady Arran. Leather case: In good sound condition, well oiled, only fault some wear around hole for button catch. Size 6.5" x 5", excluding straps. Stirrup: Steel (not stainless) with nickel plating. Some surface rust and wear to plating, but in fully working condition and little wear. Rotates freely. Size 5" high, 4" wide internally. Webbing: Some soiling with rust marks from stirrup, but sound and strong.  Stitching very good. 12" long. Will post abroad, please contact for quote before bidding.

 this saddle has been beautifully refurbished by a local  master saddler. medium/wide  fit and only offered for sale as doesn't fit my pony so it's not being used. saddle can be tried on by arrangement if you are local. prefer winning bidder to collect or will post for cost stated. photos don't do saddle justice it really is beautiful !!  MUST be sold to fund purchase of a  new saddle.  sadly no makers stamp on but the tree is english and sound. This is a beautiful antique side saddle made by Champion and Wilton.  It is in desperate need of renovation as I have had it stored away in the loft for years.  It deserves some TLC! The seat measures 17.5 ins from the cut back head to the end of cantle.  It has a beautiful quilted seat which is in excellent condition.  The remainder of the leather work around the suede seat does have worm holes but all this leather work would require replacing.  The flap and pommels are in good order and the straps too with the exceptio9n of the near side strap which is alittle dry. This really is a lovely saddle but I will neverr get time to do anything about it so I have decided to sell it as it is taking up space! Please feel free to message me for further photographs or measurements. I dont mind viewing and the saddle could be collected by the purchaser if preferred.
