11.2hh Welsh Section A Mare in Blackpool

Cleo is for sale as she is not really what we are looking for, she is a sweet mare but would benefit from a slightly quieter yard than what she is currently on, which is a very big working yard. She is green as she is only 5 years old so needs some work although my 5 year old step son rides every weekend and she has proven fantastic to ride, never bucked or reared with him and is not spooky or silly. She is forward going and would make a fantastic pony club pony. Stable manners are not terrible but could do with a little work, some days she is brilliant other days she needs a firm hand to tell her to move back in the stable and can occasionally be strong. All things that can be worked on and changed. Currently she is spending more time in the field putting on weight rather than being worked and she deserves more than being a field ornament all week and a kid plonked on her back on a weekend, although she is always fantastic even if not ridden for 2 weeks. For sale. Poppy, 11.2hh, 12 year old mare Poppy is a 11.2hh unreg Welsh section a, and she is only for sale due to my daughter outgrowing her. We have owned Poppy for just over 2 ½ years and within that time she has taken her from jumping poles on the ground to 65cm. Poppy has taken part in all PC disciplines and has regularly attended rallies and camp. With us she has also competed at XC, show jumping, dressage, novice ODE, Working Hunter and local shows. She is great to box/travel, clip, catch and with the farrier and vet. Hacks alone or with company, even leads from a bike. She has good ground manners and gets on with other mares and geldings. Happily stands all day tied to a box at shows. She is up to date with inoculations, worming, teeth, etc. Poppy isn’t a push button pony, so I would say she is more suited as a lead rein or 2nd pony, though my complete beginner 8 year old son can ride her off lead rein. Much loved little mare, very sad sale but she needs a more experienced rider than myself. Will only let her go to a genuine home. Would need a confident, calm and experienced rider willing to bring out her true talent. Unfortunately, I was not the person. She is known to buck and rear, however with the right person she should overcome her bad habits. Hacks out in company, but needs a lot of work alone. She can be your typical moody mare, but can be absolutely lovely, gives good kisses and cuddles. Jumps up to 90cm, although would go higher, nice scope. Good with farrier, dentist, vets and loading. 13.2hh Welsh Section C Mare

Reluctant sale of our wonderful 13.2hh registered welsh section C chestnut mare, 13 years old. Where do I start with this amazing pony?! She has done it all from pony club, showing, XC (which she loves), showjumping, hunting, fun rides...she was my daughters first pony and has done her job beautifully. Absolutely bombproof in the heaviest of traffic. Hacks out very happily alone and in company, never naps or spooks (she will stand happily next to a running combine harvester!). Isn't fussed by any farm animals including cows, loose dogs, chickens and sheep. Attended pony club camp this year with Heythrop Hunt and was a star. Has won every mountain and moorland class entered and is very flashy, always in the rosettes. She loves cross country and has flown around courses this year usually clear and loving every minute! She definitely has more to give in this sphere. Great to shoe, box, clip, in the stable and with the vet. Never needs sedation for anything. Has never bitten or kicked. She is however a very typical welsh and loves her food so we keep her restricted grazing in the summer. Never had laminitis. Happily lives in or out and with mares, geldings or alone. This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony, so she won't be going anywhere until we find the perfect home. While she was my daughters first pony and has been perfect for her, she can be strong sometimes but certainly not uncontrollable or nasty so I would recommend her as a second pony for a confident child, teen or small adult. I would like her to go to a home where she will be a family member and loved as much as we love her. Everyone who knows her loves her, she has many fans! Any vetting welcome. Laddie is unfortunately for sale as my boys are no longer interested in ponies. He is now 15 years old, he has been with us for 6 years.
