The French’s Black or Red Marans originated from Marans (a Port Town in the Biscay of France), South-West of Paris or 100 Miles North of Bordeaux. They tend to lay Dark Brown Eggs a year and their Colours vary from Black, Brown-Red (Copper Black) to White. Those shown in the Pictures were hatched on 14th Jan’ and were Six Weeks on 24th Feb’ each. Prices go up by 50p a Week.
