WASHBURN FESTIVAL SERIES-EAs
A nice looking and playing electro-acoustic made famous for the Festival's countless appearances on MTV Unplugged - everyone was using them. The pictures are of the actual guitar. According to the Washburn website the EA10 was introduced in with a list price of $679, but with a different spec to this one. This has the Fishman Equus Standard pre-amp system which was first seen in when the guitar had a list price of $769. Then it was out of the spec list by - so, by default 's. Not cheap and the spec bears that out - solid top, chrome Grovers, and the inclusion of a standard 1/4" jack to plug into your stage amp and an XLR out to go straight into a desk/stage-box/PA. The guitar is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and from a playing point of view. There is a recent set of medium strings sitting on unworn frets and comes complete with a cover - it zips, has handles and a pocket but I am deliberately not describing it as a gig bag. It has some padding but not enough for the rough and tumble of being chucked into vans, cars and across stages. If you are like me though you don't do that and the bag will keep the worst of trouble at bay - if you look after it. For sale as I am moving in with my partner - I need to make room for my Les Paul, Heritage H535 and Yamaha SG, so have been told "some in, some out" - I've weighed up the space on top of the wardrobe and its a three guitar space. Under the bed? No chance, that's full of shoes! Read More
