WARREN HYBRID POINT OF LAY £14 each The warren pullet is an orangery brown bird that is seen everywhere. It is the original hybrid. It is a quiet bird with a lot of good qualities. Bred to lay like a machine, commercially it is kept for a period of months before it is replaced mainly because its egg quality deteriorates. In normal free range conditions they can continue laying for a number of years. In the second year of lay their egg shell can become thinner, and become misshaped. They will lay up to 320 eggs in its first year.

This is a very reluctant sale, I have to move house unexpectedly and cannot take my brood with me. I have 3 active layer hens, a full grown cockerel, a mother and her 2 chicks (she will begin to lay again in the next few weeks), and 3 juveniles (13 weeks old) one is male, the hens will start to lay at 20 weeks. I can't obviously split up the mother and her babies and will sell the others, preferably in 1 pair and 1 trio. The males however can be sold singularly.
