Wanting to give a pony some love & fuss. No riding needed

Hello! I’m looking for a pony or two to give some love and attention! I’m an experienced rider, competed, attended pony club as a child, did mounted games, polo crosse, lots of show jumping, had my own horses for over ten years, but gave up a few years ago. I’m now looking to get back to horses, with my partner. I’m not looking to ride, but just to find a horse or pony once a week that could do with some attention- Maybe a field companion that could do with some fussing, or a pony that’s been in a field for a while!? I want to do this to get my horsey fix, to give some love, and for the opportunity for my partner to have some more time around horses, he's had experience but not a huge amount- so not looking for anything silly (but cheeky ponies aren’t a problem!) Happy to go and grab ponies out of fields and give them a groom etc, don’t mind mucking out the odd stable. I’ve had warmbloods to Shetlands, so really not fussed as long as there’s no nastiness or anything too bonkers. If riding IS an option It would be great, and I could contribute towards costs for this, but it is by no means essential. (I’m 5’3 weigh around 9.5 stone.) Can provide references from old instructors, horsey friends, and work place. I’m not phased by the cold winters, and could be flexible. I work Mon-Fri so could come weekend, or evenings providing there’s lighting etc. I’m 26 (parter 32) reliable, mature and just eager to get back to horses. Starshine was rescued alone from a cold and dark loft recently after being missing for over 30 years.
