Outwell Hartford XL 8 berth tent

Good used condition tent. Large 8 berth tent with enough headroom in the center to stand fully straight. Was £500 when bought new No damage to outside of tent and is watertight, slight discoloration as shown in pictures. One slight hole in the ground sheet which is about 10mm x 3mm in size which is easily reparable. Three poles have started splitting as shown in pictures and taped up and these still work fully with no restrictions, one replacement pole in with tent and other replacements can be bought and are not expensive if you want to replace them. The elastic holding the poles together on one set of poles has snapped but this does not prevent the poles being used and the poles are still secure, the elastic is there to make setting up quicker, for a few pounds additional elastic can be bought on various sites The tent takes some time to put up and needs two people but it is a joy once up and if it is raining then there is plenty of room in the center of the tent to sit. Outwell Hartford XL dome tent (8 berth) with footprint

This has been an excellent family tent which has been used 7 times. We are selling as we are downsizing. The tent is in very good condition, no holes or tears and all the poles are in working order. The tent is single skin with a sewn in groundsheet, except for the front porch which has its own separate groundsheet. We are including a footprint which helps to protect the groundsheet from holes and tears and helps to keep it clean, especially in wet conditions. This is classed as an 8 berth tent so there has been plenty of room to sleep the 5 of us. There are 3 sleeping pods and one central area high enough to stand up in, even if you are over 6 feet. The sleeping pods are their own contained unit which are attached to the main tent. Each can be removed to create extra space depending on the number of people using the tent. Two of the pods are larger than the other one. The larger pods take a double airbed quite easily. If you want to use the back door as an entrance/exit then the smaller pod has to be removed. For sale an Outwell Hartford XL 8 person tent. Excellent used condition The Outwell Hartford XL tent is a superb home from home tent. This cavernous 8 man tent is ideal for families who are looking for space, comfort and durability. Combine this the interior layout makes the Outwell Hartford XL tent perfect for family vacations. The Outwell Hartford XL consists one large dome area with three standing height bedrooms off it. This height is achieved through Outwell’s Extended Frame (OEF) system which also offers strength and lightness. It has the ability to stand up in your own bedroom area and this makes organising things / tidying up a lot easier on the old knees. The large dome area offers a huge space to eat, cook, wash up etc but if you feel this is not big enough then you may want to consider buying the Outwell Hartford XL front extension aswell. (I have a brand new one never used for extra cost). This extension turns the large Outwell into a huge tent, with numerous uses and really the more you can cover your options,so to speak, in respect of inside space the better. The fabric of the tent is made from fire retardant material and the outer layer has a hydrostatic head of mm. Hydrostatic head is a guide to how waterproof the tent is. In the UK anything above mm is considered waterproof. However, the higher the number is the more it will withstand driving rain, an unfortunate common occurrence in the UK. There is obviously no point in stopping the water from getting in if the fabric stops the moisture from leaving the tent so Outwell have made the inner tent breathable which along with good ventilation between the outer and inner ensures that condensation build up is kept to a minimum The Outwell Hartford XL tent is pitched flysheet first which has the benefit that the inner is kept dry should you be unlucky to pitch your tent in the rain. The groundsheet is sewn in and is made from double-coated polyethylene (optional extra) which is strong and durable but can be additionally protected by using the Harftford footprint. The footprint protects the ground sheet from scuffs from small stones and rough ground whilst also keeping it clean. The tent itself weighs 20.9kg add to that the poles (11kg) and the overall weight comes to 31.9kg. I have extra poles that are included. The Outwell Hartford XL tent is ideal for family camping. This tent had been used once when we bought it and we have only used it once ourselves, it is in excellent condition, it comes with an extension and a brand new inner carpet. It is very spacious inside and with the extension gives it that extra space to be inside on rainy days. The reason for selling is that our kids are now 15 and 18 and struggle to get them camping, even in a tent like this.
