Details about   Saddle Company Extra Extra Wide GP Cob

Selling my Saddle Company GP Cob Verona Saddle, it is dark brown in colour, seat size 17 inch and has point and balance straps fitted to help with stability on the round cob types. It is made to fit my very wide, short backed, 14.2 hh cob but these saddles are easily adjustable by your saddle fitter. It is in a good used condition, like a fool I did not use buckle guards and as you will see in the photo, one of the undersides of the flaps has a hole worn through, however, this would IMO be easily patched by a saddler and it has not gone all the way through to the outer flap (though it is very thin in that small area). So saddle flaps have normal wear from stirrup leathers and there are a few marks on cantle and gullet.... Normal wear for a 6 year old saddle. I have tried my best to remove the hair from the underside of the surge saddle panels, as for best possible fit I often used the saddle with no numnah and just a small anti slip pad but please be aware there are some hairs in the underside of the saddle. I have tried to show every possible part of the saddle in all the photos. Only selling as our main discipline is now dressage and need to get a new dressage saddle. Either cash on collection from Fawkham in Kent or PayPal only please. No returns offered so please make sure this saddle is right for you before bidding.

Sadly this saddle doesn't fit our new pony, it's too long on her back. It's very very wide ideal for your table top flat backed cobs. It's 10" DtoD, the gullet bar that is in at the minute is the original iron bar, which a saddler made wider for my friend (who I bought the saddle off) will come with the violet coloured bar too which is a 2xwide. I don't think you will find a saddle much wider anywhere. Orthoflex Dressage Saddle 17" fits wide to extra wide

This is a 17" Orthoflex Dressage Saddle, serial number EUKD002 in very good condition. I think it may be a series two but do correct me if I am wrong. This is one of the early ones made by the great Len Brown before he sold the company. Features: Long billets Wool Booties, black canvas like material on the outside, quilted blue cottony material on the inside. Velcro in good shape, stray hairs here and there. Panels measure 22" long, 9.5" at the widest point (front) and 5.5" at the back. I bought this from the original owner who imported it into the UK. She had not ridden in it and I've ridden in it about a year or so. Always kept inside, cleaned and oiled regularly but do not expect new, it is a used saddle and thus shows signs of wear appropriate to use. The wool booties do show some wear, have a few loose threads here and there and one has some small stains on the inside but they have always been washed by hand using wool wash. I never let them get soaked in sweat and stinky before washing them. I did get along with this saddle and have another Orthoflex I adore in which I started my youngster, a Cob X Shire but this one is just a bit too long and slightly too narrow once she started growing outwards rather than just upwards. You know how it is, you end up with four or five saddles sitting around and you only have one horse and one backside on which to sit on them. Black synthetic saddle with detachable knee rolls I dont think it is an interchangeable gullet but the tree points have velcro over them so perhaps it is, you may be able to tell from the photo. It is in good condition everywhere apart from the erar on the front, shown in the photo but it doesnt affect the use of the saddle. It has a nice wide channel to fit over the spime withiut pinching and it measures 6". Selling because it is not being used. Happy to answer any questions it is being advertised locally so may finish before end of auction
