This kiln runs off a 32amp supply. The following work needs to be done before it can be used: New 2m of 4mm2 3core HD flex from kiln to 32A industrial plug. Check condition and functionality of door interlock switch. Check characteristics of elements – insulation and resistance. Check condition of main contactor Replace damaged flexible conduit. Mount controller in a suitable place Wire controller to main contactor, pyrometer and mains supply. Test functionality of system. The kiln comes with metal stand and shelves. This would cost around £150 including materials & labour, if carried out by a qualified electrician. The bricks and elements appear to be in good condition. Once this work has been done you will have quite a large and powerful kiln made by one of the most reputable manufacturers of kilns, their modern equivalents cost over £. FIRECRAFT FL65 ELECTRIC POTTERY KILN + STAFFORD ST315A PROG.

This is a FIRECRAFT (also known as Falcon) FL65 Electric pottery kiln which comes with a Stafford Instruments ST315A Temperature Programmer. It has a 66 litre capacity and heats to degrees centigrade max. It has had very little use over its life and the oven internals are all in excellent and very clean condition. Runs from 240V single-phase supply consuming 4.78kW which equates to around 20+ Amps - this makes it suitable for HOME use as well as small business and education. Some of the outer panels and edges have surface rust due to it being currently located in a small out-building, however these ARE 'surface' rust spots only - a cosmetic issue and the whole kiln could be made to look quite superb with very little work - a sand-down, prime and top coat. The oven internals reflect the very light use the kiln has had through its life being very clean and undamaged, and the only issue to report is a very fine hairline crack in two bricks in the lined door. The elements all look to be in very good condition. Comes complete with a wall-mounted 'firing' warning lamp and a Stafford Instruments ST315A Temperature Programmer which alone cost over £200. Three ceramic shelves and over 30 stackable spacers completes the package - there's just about everything you need here, and it all carried an original price of around £2.5k Weighs around 180kg! This is COLLECTION ONLY with the buyer taking FULL responsibility for its removal. Fairly easy access with solid (tarmac) slightly sloping ground, and parking within around 20 feet of its location. Photo added to show external access to the outhouse - a sharp turn required, so pallet/trolley lift probably not possible here. However, the kiln should be quite 'walkable' on its 4 legs with, say, 4 people to guide it. It could probably then be 'walked' or carried to the near-by van. A bit of grunt needed... Last used around a year ago when it functioned perfectly.
