They are a very rare, small breed of native sheep (as owned by Adam Henson on Countryfile). They make ideal companions for your horse and are great for cross grazing with all equines. Or just for keeping your grass down. They forage on grass, thistles, nettles, brambles and only need water and a Yellow Rockies mineral block in addition. You'll need time to check on them each day and to keep up their yearly vaccinations, check their feet, have them sheared each year. You will need good fencing as they easily scramble over hedge banks. They have varying colour fleeces that are lovely for spinning. All birth notified with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
