The piano is a straightstrung upright piano and all the strings are vertical. The action is an overdamper. The hammers are underneath a shelf, and there are stiff wires at the front of the action. The piano is in a fairly good condition but may need tuning. The frame number is: , and the total length of the piano including the piano keys measures approximately 134 cm. The wood is Rosewood veneer with a beautiful walnut carcass. Also include in the price is a beautiful used antique piano stool with draws for storage for either piano sheets, books or magazines. The piano stool has attractive ornate handles and feet. The piano stool has a beautifully designed cushion in need of reupholstering and some minor repairs are also needed to the beading's on the paino stool. The draws on the piano stool pulls out completely or if you prefer you can use the downward flap on the front drawers for easy access to your music sheets or magazines. Baby Grand Piano - Welmar by Bluthner mahogany finish - beautiful sound

This is our Baby Grand Piano - it is 1.5m wide across the keyboard, 1.4m deep from front to back and just under 1.0m high. It is finished in a mahogany veneer - I think its called Fiddle-back mahogany. It has a beautiful tone and plays nicely. It has some faults in the veneer finish with some sun damage on one side and where someone placed a candle on the fold-under piece of the top - you can't see this normally. It would benefit from a french polisher of you want to fix these problems. The low price for this quality instrument reflects this. We had it moved to our house for £50 but that was some years ago and I guess it would be double that today. Ad ID:

Collard & Collard upright piano, beautiful sound, excellent condition.

I bought this piano 9 years ago from Peter smith and sons. It's an excellent upright that looks and sounds delightful. I've kept it in good condition, pet free and smoke free house and I had it tuned about 6months ago. This piano would be ideal for a serious student or professional musician or teacher, it's not going to be one of these free give aways or £100 piano. It is a seriously nice warm and clear tone and I have been using it as a professional music teacher and composer. I would love to keep it forever but I'm moving abroad and have nowhere to store it. It is an old piano that Peter smith and sons refurbished, hence the stunning walnut traditional finish. The piano stool was brand new, sold by the shop which I picked to match as closely to the wood as possible. Collard & collard was an English piano manufacturing company that became pretty famous in Europe for there excellent patents and piano designs. This is a classic example.
