This unit has been tested by a VW van upgrade specialist and he is very happy with the results and has it on his own van. The plastic column shroud requires minimal alteration and everything looks very standard after installation, the horn works as normal. For the VW purists, the tiny collapsible link in the original column has been removed but is no longer necessary as the centre part of the column is now fixed into the motor unit so cannot move upwards separately in the event of an impact.
