This is a very reluctant sale of my VW T aircooled petrol engine. Last year it had a reconditioned engine bought from the Engine Shop, receipts can be provided. This year it has had two new rear trailing arms at a cost of £500 plus! MOT to September lowered Renewed all brake pipes during past couple of years Two New Steps 2 rear trailing arms 2 very good second hand rear brake back plates 1 new calliper Reconditioned engine 12 months ago from TES New clutch kit fitted at the same time as the engine Rear shoes and cylinders CD player and 6x9 speakers, sounds great Front grill brow/ spoiler Alloy Wheels Full width Rock and roll bed Replaced r and r bed foam to be covered (I have just used duvet covers on them as never got round to upholstery) New cupboard inside ready for a smev to be fitted New sliding door handle Newly part insulated last winter Curtains to all windows We pay £150 per year insurance, including breakdown and European cover LHD, which I think adds to the character, I love driving it! VW Transporter T Special TD SWB for sale, offers considered. I will include in the ad, negative points of the van along with positive points as i don't want to waste anyones time. It is a great camper and me and my partner will surely miss it, however we've only used it for camping once this year. Good Points:.It has a 1.9 turbo diesel engine fitted which was taken from a mk3 golf. The engine code is AHU. Since i have owned the vehicle it has had a new water pump fitted, new exhaust fitted, recently had rear brakes replaced, new tyres and engine oil replaced every miles.. Converted into a camper van. Included in the sale is the leisure battery which is wired up to a split charging relay, fusebox and a three switch panel. Currently powers main lights, twinkle lights and usb charging points..There is a SMEV cooker/sink which comes with a gas bottle and some gas remaining, as part of the sale..There are x2 sunroofs in the van one at the front one at the rear. Included is x1 cover to keep some heat in at night..The roof rack comes as part of the sale along with windscreen and front window thermal covers to keep heat in at night..It has a rock and roll bed with has x2 seat belts fitted and is fully functional as bed..The dash and front door cards have been finished to a gloss look, impressive when you see it..Alpine sound system with a bluetooth stereo..The vehicle is the most reliable i have ever owned. Its so green, you can't lose it in a car park..It has MOT till 3rd September Bad Points;.The microphone for the bluetooth stereo isn't very sensitive for receiving calls..When maintaining a constant speed of 65mph or above a warning light flashes on the dash. This has no effect on power or performance. It only causes a nuisance, it has had this problem from the 1st day i got it..As a 21 year old vehicle there are signs of rust in and around the wheel arches, and there are some markings on the offside, side of the van. This was caused by a bumper scrape when i got blocked in by a builder once upon a time..There are some twinkle lights on the inside of the van, unfortunately one side broke as one LED wire broke and they're wired in series..The sink isn't complete, it requires a tap fitting and a drain pipe fitted, part of the sale includes a water tank. I bought the camper as a restoration project about three years ago, last year I had all the necessary welding done underneath the vehicle, and earlier this year I have completely rebuilt the engine including all new gaskets and seals, main bearings, big end shells, camshaft shells, piston rings and a full service, and whilst the engine was out I had the flywheel ground and a new clutch.
