Through a team of volunteers we work together to... check the homes they are going to next, assess the dogs needs and behaviours, fundraise to help pay the cost of the transport, the vet bills, the kennels and to educate the public, foster for the ones who need to get out straight away or who need some time to readjust to the big wide world, transport for the many trips we do to help a GSD in need. Volunteer for animal care An opportunity exists for a volunteer for a few hours a week. We are located just outside Ross on Wye in Herefordshire. The volunteer will work alongside 150 animals across 25 different species. Alongside our own livestock we offer homes to animals who were neglected or living in conditions inappropriate for their needs.l This voluntary work will involve a lot of physical work to include pen clearing, pooh picking. For those interested helping with husbandry too and interacting with those animals that benefit from personal attention. So it is tough physical work but in a great setting with great experiences. No previous experience with animals is required but it is important to be physically fit and have a can-do attitude and ability to remain calm and considered as working beside livestock.
