Storage <strong>Cheststrong> Blanket Toy Box <strong>Verystrong> large and strik<strong>instrong>g look<strong>instrong>g <strong>rarestrong> steel trunk with unusual corrugated construction. I have never seen this design before. This is a <strong>verystrong> <strong>rarestrong> all steel trunk from the mid Victorian period and is <strong>instrong> fantastic condition consider<strong>instrong>g it’s age. Has a few knocks and scrapes but this all ads to the great pat<strong>instrong>a. I cant f<strong>instrong>d the makers name but on the front the trunk has a Patent number on a brass plaque. I have been told that the trunk could have orig<strong>instrong>ated <strong>instrong> America and on search<strong>instrong>g on the <strong>instrong>ternet found a similar trunk for sale but a bit smaller and at a cost of $. This trunk has been scrubbed clean and given a wax polish to the protect pat<strong>instrong>a ga<strong>instrong>ed over the years. The <strong>instrong>side is as orig<strong>instrong>al and has not been touched because it has newspaper from stuck to the bottom and I thought this was <strong>instrong>terest<strong>instrong>g, this can be easily removed.
