Vintage treen inkwell and unassociated blotter

Two pieces of treen from my earlier days of collecting. The inkwell has it's glass liner and decorative pen (don't think this is functional-I have never written with it) It stands 6" tall and 3.5" at the base. I think it is either olive wood or sycamore, and has a lovely honey coloured patina to it. The blotter is of sturdy construction and is decorated with flowers -possibly edelweiss. It measures 6" x2.5" (could be BLack Forest) Both have been with me for about 15 years and have been kept in a cabinet in a smoke free home. Vintage mauchline ware matchstick puzzle box and 2 x treen

Despite a small chip on top as shown in picture, this piece is in great condition. These boxes are extremely collectable and range from the basic transfer as on small vases boxes each piece having the view of the place of purchase. The wood used was Sycamore. Vintage Treen Page Turner Letter Opener Alligator

This is a very collectible antique treen page turner or letter opener. I am told it dates 's to 's The handle is modeled in the form of an Alligator or Crocodile. It has fine detail of the mouth and teeth with 2 glass eyes. The word PATENT is stamped on the upper side just behind the back legs. Measures 9 1/8 inch length, 1 inch width at the widest point, 3/4 inch height at the head. It is in good condition for its age except it has a very slight crack on the end of the tail which shows just on the underside and a small red mark where the crack is. Read More
