A stunning set as you can see from the pictures! Amber colour! This is a beautiful set consisting of a very large jug/coffee pot! 5 cups and 6 saucers a milk jug and sugar bowl! The stamp on the bottom says Totem Porimeirion Pottery by Susan Williams Ellis. Stoke on Trent made in England! I don't actually think this has been used and had no chips or cracks it looks amazing! I doubt you would find another set in this condition! This set would be a real focus point or would look nice in a display cabinet! Collection or I could deliver locally! BH25 7PB! Portmeirion Malachite Vintage China

It is many years since a Portmeirion Malachite Coffee set and plates came onto the open market! These items are for serious collectors / lovers of vintage Portmeirion creations by the late Susan Williams-Ellis. All pieces bear the Portmeirion back stamp bearing the name of the designer (S W-E in full) and "Gray's Pottery" Stoke on Trent etc. So that informs you of its authenticity from which you can date these rare pieces. The set comprises: Six 9" Portmeirion Malachite plates. All in perfect condition. They have the unusual rope design edging which is gilded and sets off the beautiful malachite pattern to perfection. The gilding is still in perfect condition. There are no cutlery marks or scratches to the plates' surface. I don't think they have ever been used. The complete coffee set comprises: Tall sloping Malachite coffee pot with gilded stopper on the malachite patterned lid. Gilded spout and handle. A very elegant piece. The pot is complemented by a sugar bowl and creamer. Both gilded internally and in perfect condition. Six 2" coffee cans, all gilded internally. Six matching saucers with internal gilding. One coffee can has a loss of approximately 50% of it internal gilding. Another has two scratches to the gilding. A slight scratch on one other can. There are no nibbles, nicks, chips, on any of the items as far as I can see. They have been wrapped and stored and not seen the light of day for about 40 years until last week! I am looking for a realistic price to part with these rare and beautiful items. Collectors and lovers of this unique china will know its true value, both for its rarity value and the expensive, labour intensive process which went into producing it. I am limited to three photos only on here but if you are genuinely interested and require more detail, close ups, back stamps, whatever, I will email them to you. I will not take offers for selling any items singly or splitting the set. It's all or nothing, sorry! Serious enquiries only please. Kutani Vintage Japanese Bone China - 51 Pieces

A very nice 51 piece vintage Kutani bone china tea and dinner service purchased in Japan in . Kutani (meaning nine valleys), is the name of an area and a village, now part of the City of Kaga in Japan. The production of this type of Japanese porcelain was established, when a kiln was set up by Goto Saijiro of the Maeda Clan in . This eggshell translucent porcelain is produced by an ornamentation method known as Lithophane, where the etched or moulded artwork is pressed into the wet clay. The design is based around Japanese temples and bambo in striking colors with Mount Fuji in the background. The set consists of the following 51 pieces and please note that 5 items have small chips, which are refered to below: 8 Saucers 145 mm in diameter - one has one rim chip and a second has two rim chips. 7 Side Plates 165 mm in diameter - one has a chip on the rim. 7 cups 95 mm in diameter - one has a chip on the base rim. 1 Tureen measuring 263 mm x 193 mm - one chip on the rim. 1 x quarter litre milk/cream jug max. diameter is 130 mm. 8 desert bowls 141 mm in diameter. Sugar Bowl 175 mm maximum diameter. 8 Soup Bowls 232 mm in diameter. Tea Pot 185 mm in height and 245 mm approx. maximum width. 8 Dinner Plates 262 mm in diameter. 1 x Large Oval Serving Dish 36.5 x 27.5 cms. In summary there are 46 pieces in very good condition plus 5 with small chips. Please note that any inspection is welcome and you can pay cash on collection.
