(Crazing can usually be seen on most pottery that is vintage.) However, there is a very tiny clean looking fairly smooth chip on the side rim of the jug. This chip is fairly inconspicuous. Also, again on the edge of the top rim of the jug there is a very fine tiny piece of the glaze missing. The Oil Jug has the Toni Raymond stamp on its base. This oil jug is in beautiful condition, especially considering its age. It would look attractive in any display unit, especially if displayed in a country kitchen. This lovely vintage egg separator was produced in Babbacombe, Torquay, Devon. England. Approximate Year of manufacture Condition: - I have studied the egg separator with a magnifying glass and I cannot see any glaze crazing at all. (Glaze crazing is usually seen on most pottery that is vintage.) The rim of the bowl has a really fine, particle of glaze missing, at the front above the letter ‘S’. It is approximately 1/8 inch wide and barely noticeable. The Toni Raymond stamp on the base of the egg separator although present, it is not clearly legible. Produced in Babbacombe, Torquay, Devon, England Approximate Year of manufacture There is not much glaze crazing on this spoon rest but non-the less, I can see some on both the upper surface and the underneath. The lines are fairly inconspicuous. (Crazing can usually be seen on most pottery that is vintage.) The spoon rest does not for some reason have the Toni Raymond stamp on its base. It does not however look at all as though it could have possibly been a second, it looks much to good not to have been a first. This lovely, bright coloured spoon rest is very comfortable to hold as the narrower edge curls over and wraps around your finger as you carry it to the sink to wash it. This is particularly useful when you have had a greasy spoon on the rest as it is less likely to slip out of your hand. The spoon rest is in very good condition especially when you consider its age. However, it does have the line of a crack at the front extending from upper edge, down the front of the jar between the letters s and c. It extends for approximately 4 ½ inches. It has a similar crack line at the back of the jar. It has crazing as seen with most pottery that is vintage. There is no staining what so ever inside the jar (excluding the very fine dark lines of the crack. Although there is a seal on the lid of the jar, these lids were never particularly airtight. I overcame this problem by putting the jar contents into plastic bags within the jar.
