This is a direct drive unit, much like Technics fabled turntables so no belts to replace. Unit was serviced about 2 years ago, and still plays flawlessly today. 3 Head design means you can listen and tune the recordings as you record. It even has a motorised cassette door! I recently had a new belt fitted to the turntable and a new volume slider as the old one kept sticking. The only issue is that the stylus tracking function is a bit temperamental (stylus plays records fine, but the skip function is a bit sticky). If you don't want to skip tracks you're fine!
