Vintage 'Sherman of London' Long Dress.

I am clearing vintage clothing from my attic, this was my Mum's. It is a vintage Sherman of London long dress. Black bodice, cotton feel to it, with a taffeta feel green 'tartan' skirt with flounce. I may not be correct in saying tartan but it looks tartan to me! Would guess from 's. Although it says size 14, being vintage the actual size is actually smaller, laid flat approx. bust is " but would stretch to fit a size 10. I am a size 10 and it fits me fine:) Just not my style! Approx. waist laid flat ". Approx. length 56". Zip at back with a hook and eye fastening at the top. Label says material is 100% acetate. 4 little black buttons on the front. Cannot see any flaws, and dress seems to be in a great condition for age

Beautiful Vintage Sidgreene of London Evening Dress

A beautiful s long evening dress, light and floaty, with a lovely scalloped neck and batwing sleeves. The photo doesn't do it justice and must be tried on to see how beautiful it really is. It belonged to my beautiful mother who looked gorgeous in it, but as i know only wore it once. Want someone to wear it and love it as it deserves. Excellent condition, no damage or marks. It was my late mother's and she looked gorgeous in it, bought it for one occasion and I don't think it has been worn since. Excellent condition.
