Retro canvas ridge tent

Large traditional-style canvas ridge tent, with rounded end, zipped front and integral plastic ground sheet; internal dimensions approx. 2.9 metres (9 feet 6 inches) long (including the rounded end) and 1.9 metres (6 feet 3 inches) wide; internal height to ridge approx 1.83 metres (6 feet). Would make a great childrens’ play tent. There are no holes, tears or repairs in the canvas or the groundsheet and all guy ropes are present, with metal stakes included. The zips on the front are all in good condition. Comes in its canvas carrying bag. The tent hasn’t been used for a number of years so we cannot guarantee that it is still completely waterproof - it will probably need re-proofing. The groundsheet originally had retaining loops for pinning it to the ground but these are all now absent, otherwise we're not aware of any faults. Cabanon Isabelle Cotton Canvas Ridge Tent

I have for sale a lovely example of a Cabanon Isabelle cotton canvas tent. If you are like me and prefer the quality and materials of traditional camping, then you’re likely to love the Isabelle. This one really is in first class condition and has always been stored and packed away completely dry. The outer canvas has maintained it’s rich green colour without fading. There might be the odd mark from birds flying over but this is minimal and best left to the rain to deal with. It is a nice ridge pole design using a full cotton inner tent with mesh ventilation door, supported by 3 steel legs. This is good because it means the entrance uses an ‘A’ frame, allowing the door to be kept clear of a central pole. The cotton inner has a bath tub style sewn in groundsheet which is very waterproof and helps to keep the insects out. I have pitched this on top of another groundsheet which I recommend to help keep the sewn in groundsheet protected and clean. The tent allows the option of zipping on a front extension plus a zip on bell end (both included) so there are various configurations possible. If for instance you wished to use it for a weekend camp and arrived late, the main tent section could be put up with the zip on bell, then the extension could be put up the following morning if required. The extension includes vertical poles and guy lines that allow a side to be raised and used as a sun canopy in hotter weather. The Isabelle’s are relatively rare in the UK although I have seen a couple listed during . This one has only had 3-4 weeks of use during its lifetime so everything is in super condition. Large Vintage 60s/70s Canvas Frame Tent 6-8 Berth

A lovely vintage 60s/70s canvas frame tent. Large and will fit 6-8 people with lots of living space and windows. It measures 14x15ft when up with 2m headheight, so very roomy. It fits into two bags of 130cmx35cm approx. Bags have holes due to age but tent is importantly intact. Frame is colour coded so suprisingly easy to put up. I have used it once and would love to keep it but have no room to store it as I live in a boat now. It's much more sturdy and nicer to camp in that modern tents in my opinion. This is the 3 section version. I am selling this on behalf of our Scout group, the canvas was put away wet and has rotted in places resulting in a number of small holes and damage to some of the guy points (see pictures). We have since replaced the tent, but this is still too good to throw away and could definitely be used as is or repaired. There are no pegs or guys, just the poles and the canvas. The bag for the canvas is ripped on a seam too. It still holds the canvas but it wouldn’t hurt to restitch it. Would make useful temporary storage space or could be used for working on car. Vintage 70s 80s retro frame tent. Litchfield Catalina (Cabanon Style) Consists of Steel Frame, Heavy Canvas outer. Cotton Inner bedchamber with a groundsheet sewn in. Canvas outer is in good condition but a bit faded (it is a s tent) The cotton inner is damaged but useable. Someone with a sewing machine should be able to repair it easily. Also two of the frame angles have been repaired with welds, but good repair. Also throw in a decent holdall for storage and a set of heavy duty pegs. Was in use this year and still looking good. I love this tent, and can erect it OK single handed, but back trouble means I need a lighter one now. Not sure of the size but a very roomy tent for two people. The front is open in these shots, but does zip down to give large lounge, or out to form an awning. Poles provided. Hope it goes to a good home I have had it for years.
