Vintage 's Classic Roland RD300s Digital Piano in
Vintage () Roland RD300s Digital Piano The RD-300S is a late 's digital piano based on additive synthesis. Polyphony varies depending on the instrument sound selected. Piano 1, Piano 2, Piano 3 (probably the most famous sound - used a lot by Elton John at the time), Vibraphone, and Electric Piano 1 have 16-note polyphony while the Harpsichord, Clavinet, and Electric Piano 2 tones have 10 notes of polyphony. I have owned this piano from new and still love the feel and sound of the instrument. Elec Piano 1 and Elec Piano 2 are absolute classic '80's sounding EPs; a nice (quite bright) 'Fender Rhodes' and a classic 'bell-like' electric piano (think Elton John's Sacrifice). The Vibraphone is quite soft sounding and very usable but the most famous sound is Piano 3 - a bright, full sounding grand that cuts through the mix but isn't harsh. The bass end is wonderful and perfect for that BIlly Joel; My Life bass line. You can hear the Piano 3 sound in a lot of the songs of the era and it was often used by Elton John. The Brilliance control is surprisingly effective and the Tremelo controls are good on the electric pianos and vibraphone. It comes with the original owners' manual and mains lead. Controls: internal volume, external (midi instrument) volume, brilliance, tremolo (speed and depth), chorus on/off, tremolo on/off. Keyboard: 88 keys Polyphony: 16 notes Weight: 33 kg Dimensions: mm x 461 mm x 133 mm
