An iconic piece of industrial furniture from the french postal system Postal sorting desk with pigeon holes. We salvaged this piece from a closing post office in rural France. We had 5 of these all salvaged from one post office and all lovingly restored by us. This is the last piece so don't miss out! They don't come up for sale often. It was produced in the mid 60s from steel. We have completely cleaned the piece and treated it with a mat graphite paste. It retains much of its beautiful original patina with the wear and tear expected on a piece of hardworking industrial furniture. Please do review all the pictures as they form part of the description. These look great in any modern interior and offer both a stylish and practical option. They also make fantastic retail display pieces. It includes pigeon holes (possibly for time cards), a flip up lid and drawer with decorated knob. There is one old crack on the lid (mended years ago) and the interior of the cabinet shows signs of use - otherwise in very good condition.
