Vintage Rallye RSW 3 bicycle

For sale is a patinated shabby-chic Rallye RSW III bicycle, I think from the late 's-early 's. I'm not an expert however, so please check the date out. I bought it in 'as found' condition and i'm selling it for restoration as I don't have the time and it's getting in the way. Tyres need replacing and everything else will need cleaning and servicing. The plastic seat is cracking due to age. It has a Lucas King of the Road from lamp and hub dynamo - which actually still works! There are also Sturmey Archer gears. I think it would be nice if it was recommissioned in it's current state - but entirely up to you. Would also look nice re-painted. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit

Hi there, this bike is in lovely condition and great riding order. It would fit a person between the heights of 5 foot, and 5 foot 7, I can adjust saddle to fit, seat post moves. Tyres are in good condition. Bearings in the hubs/crank/headset are smooth with no play in them. Brakes are good, lines are clean. 3 gears change as they should. Key is present for the rear box. I'm certain whomever calls and views this bike will be delighted with it! Vintage Raleigh men's 3-speed bicycle

Raleigh "all steel bicycle". This is the classic sit up and beg roadster virtually unchanged in design for over 100 years. Supplied new in by Eve's for Cycles from their shop in Uckfield High Street, it is black with a 23" frame (suit rider 5'8" to 6') and 26" wheels. It has a 3-speed Sturmey-Archer rear hub and a Dyno-hub front wheel. The dynamo lights have a battery backup accessible via a switch on the front light. It has rod brakes, full mudguards, hockey stick chain guard, Brooks non-leather saddle, bell and a modern tyre pump. It is in full working order, including gears and lights. The only missing part is the rear reflector. I rebuilt it a few years ago, replacing the tyres, tubes, brake blocks, chain and bearings for the headset, bottom bracket and both wheels. The paint and chrome are original, so have some surface rust but none penetrating. Ideal for everyday use or for vintage shows/rides. The are also a couple of spare oil-bath chain guards plus a used chain.

Usual scratches to paint due to use. Been in garage. 3 speed Sturmey Archer gears. Sturmey archer Hub - it appears to be dated of 9/ 81, although it could be 9/ 61 but hard to tell. The pedals do not have reflectors, which dates the bike pre Inch frame. 26 inch wheels Needs a little bit of TLC, brake and gear adjustment. Maybe a spoke tighten here and there and mudguard adjustment. Gear toggle moves freely in and out but gear cable is slack, needs adjusting or replacing. You can still buy these new. Chain can do with a bit of oil and greasing. Wheels move freely. Good tyres, both hold air, although may need pumping up a bit.
