Vintage Peugeot road bike-single Speed.

A lovely vintage Peugeot in original race colours now converted to run single speed using a Stronglite 48x16 chainset. Mangalloy 51cm frame with Wienmann xr18 rims with Dia Comp folding 700x23 tires. Great bike that i built a few years ago to get around Leeds. Kept it minimal with a single speed freewheel. I can't remember the ratio i think it was something . I was rapid on it. Comes with a combination kryptonite lock. Light, strong and coils up out of the way. Pushbutton waterproof front and rear lights. A service of some kind could be a good idea. Chain is still tight. Lovely late 80s Peugeot. Great looks, in the classic retro Peugeot livery. Totally original. Excellent HLE tubing frame. Superlight. Whole bike weights 10 kg only. Single speed converted. Forget about complicated shifting, reliability issues or chain coming off. This is simple, reliable and super low maintenance. Gear ratio , perfect for London. It is very fast and responsive, but unlike pure racing bikes it is quite convenient and easy to use for the city: cycling position is quite relaxed thanks to upright handlebars, saddle is very soft and it comes with mudguards for those rainy days. JUST PROFESSIONALLY SERVICED FOR THE SALE, including: - New quality Schwalbe tyres, puncture protected. - New bar tape. - New brake cables. - New chain. - New freewheel. - New outers. - Bottom bracket and headset serviced with new ball bearings and water proof grease. THE SERVICE ALONE IS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE BIKE. Everything works, just cycle away. As normal in a vintage bike there are some rust spots here and there and other cosmetic blemishes.
