Rare Vintage Matching Pair Knoll Ludwig Mies van der Rohe MR Lounge/Dining Chairs Eames Era rrp £ each x2 matching MR side chairs also available. The MR Collection represents some of the earliest steel furniture designs by Mies van der Rohe. The material choice was inspired by fellow Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer, while the forms are thought to be modern derivatives of 19th century iron rocking chairs. The MR collection remains a modern timeless fixture of mid-century design, though subtle enhances any environment. Both are early examples originally purchased from the Conran Shop, pre Knoll signature which was introduced in the early 00's. Polished chrome finish frame, fully-upholstered in thick stitched Cognac Spinneybeck cowhide belting leather. Both offered in excellent condition for there vintage, the leather is tort with minimal signs of use.
