Mid 80s Raleigh Pursuit Road Bicycle.

Mid s bicycle,all in good condition.I have replaced the rims from the original rusty chromed ones to Weinman 27in alloys and laced them with new stainless steel spokes and fitted Raleigh racing tyres,new gear cables have been put on and had a total rebuild.Some rust bits on components but in no way effects function.Paint work is exceptional but there is some slight scuffs on the decal on top tube..24.5in from centre bb to seat post,10 speed.Pedals work but rusty in middle.Any questions please ask. Lovely ladies Raleigh Caprice town bike, early 90s with the very nice period Liz Pepperell flower graphics. 19" frame in remarkable condition for its years, there is hardly a mark on the paintwork. 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub gears, all working as they should, ladies specific sprung saddle, original matching white grips and pedals. This bike benefits from full metal mudguards to keep the road muck from your clothing, a rear pannier rack and an upgraded front basket, this is easily removed at the press of a button for shopping and features a carrying handle. Fitted with 37mm period looking whitewall tyres for a smooth ride. The only mark down is a bit of pitting to the chrome on the wheel rims but this doesn't really detract from the charming overall look. These bikes are becoming very sought-after with the upsurge of retro chic. Sorry for the sub standard photographs but had to take them indoors as its pouring down here. Raleigh Caprice Vintage Bicycle by Liz Pepperell

Lovely Liz Pepperell Ladies' Caprice 'Shopping' Bicycle by Raleigh With 3 Speed Sturmey Archer Gears Although vintage the bike is hardly used and has brand new tyres (Raleigh Record, 26"), inner tubes and brake cables. These were all replaced because of age (tyres perish!), not because of long or hard usage. The bike has not been ridden since these items were upgraded. You can see how much use the bike has had by looking closely at the original pedal flats which show no wear patterns. The only rust is a scattering of pinhead sized spots on the wheel rims as the bike has been constantly undercover and never left wet. The frame size is 20" which is suitable for persons between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins. Together with the bike there is a BNWT wicker basket and a steel cable combination lock.
