VINTAGE HUNTSMANS SPORTING SILVER PLATED SANDWICH BOX/TIN & LEATHER CASE. Strong & solid Silver Plate Lidded & double hinged Sandwich box. Stamped J.D. & S for James Dixon & Sons along with Trumpet "Bugle" & Banner. Tin has some tarnishing which may clean off. The thick leather case is in excellent condition with strong stitching which is intact. It has a central strap for closing and two other straps to attach to a Sportsman/Hunters belt or the handlebars of a cycle. Stunning looking mid-Victorian silver plate tray for sale. It is produced in Sheffield by James Dixon & Sons. This dates as the companies mark on the back changed after this date. It is wonderfully ornate and features a classic Victorian design and would look great hung up as decoration. It measures 14" across. Most of the plate has been polished away from the centre but it doesn't detract from the piece. Antique Hunting Saddle Sandwich Box and Leather Case by George Parker, London. A genuine piece of hunting history from one of the best saddlers and suppliers of the time.   In this case cost 30/- !!!!!!!! Double hinged box so opens out flat, all in very good sound fully working condition. Size: 5.25" x 3" x 1" The box is made of pewter and has a few blemishes, spots, tarnish and wear marks, but all looks the part for a lovely vintage piece - lots of hunting history here! Please examine the photos to see the wear, but note that there are some reflections as well. Leather case in good condition, with some cracking to leather straps, but still in working condition.  (One strap replaced at some point) Original chamois leather lining still intact.  Will post abroad, please contact for quote before bidding.
