The beady eyed among You will have already spotted the salvaged parts from many donor Humbers Ive scavenged from The very hard to find Sturmey 3-Speed hub Alloy AM hub, Changer & Pedal Cranks are from a Humber Sportster The rear wheel has been professionally rebuilt (Using the fabulous original Black rim) as the original spokes were shot. The expensive White American schwalbe tyres are obviously modern I always intended the Original factory paintwork to survive the experience... It has. This Humber has lived a life & it shows. I'm of the thinking that You only attain a original Patina once. Why destroy it. The bike rides beautifully. The original English coach sprung, Middlemore saddle is complete Joy to sit on. (The saddle was emersed in saddle soap for a week as it was at deaths door. It survived) ~ Issues The Sturmey hub is only finding two gears at present. The hub is fine & the bike rides nicely but the cable snapped last year & i haven't had the time to source a proper replacement.
