Framed Print of an Old Map of Corfu
The ownership of the Island of Corfu has changed hands many times. Now it is Greek, but in former times it was occupied by the Venetians when Venice was a great trading power, and by the British. This is a framed print measuring 43 cms wide by 36 cms tall. The frame is black and the surround is beige and it is in excellent condition. The language used on this map is Italian, and the original must be very ancient. Note how the island is depicted as running east-west, when the island itself is oriented north-south!
