I'm an instrument maker and repairer and t his is a custom 5 string electric mandolin I have recently finished in metallic blue,  The specs are - Solid swamp ash lightweight body, string through body construction, finished in durable 'sunset orange' satin shimmer custom USA motorcycle paint. Hard rock maple neck with adjustable truss rod finished with vintage tint lacquer. Split shaft vintage tuners (max.056" bottom C). Nickel plated 4 bolt neck plate with serial no. Indian rosewood radiused fingerboard with boxwood dots and side markers Nickel medium vint. frets tortoiseshell pickguard Custom wound alcomax 5 string neck pickup with nickel cover Custom wound alcomax 5 string bridge pickup Custom bridge assembly with one piece adjustable solid brass saddle Side mounted vint. tele style jack 3 way selector, volume and tone control all the parts, including pickups, nickel cover, scaled down bridge and control panel. knobs etc,.. pretty much all except the tuners, are handmade in my workshop in Northamptonshire. Tuning C/G/D/A/E, (so mandolin top 4, mandola bottom 4.) The action is low, intonation pre set adjusted and it sounds great, rings very nicely with great sustain, even if i do say so myself! It takes some considerable time and effort to make these  so £585 I believe is cracking good deal for a handmade instrument so highly spec'd but I am open to a resonable offer.  If you are interested but would like to try it out first that would certainly be ok.   Vintage Bowl Back Mandolin Early s

This is for a Vintage Bowl Back Mandolin, looks to be from the Early s Era. It has Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood Back, and a Spruce top . The Original Tuners work Great and with New Strings and a Set up, It will Play Nicely as it is. In Fact it was played up until a couple of years ago. It is a Cool Mandolin, the Pickguard has a Real Mother of Pearl Flower and the Frets are in Nice shape as well. The Bridge is Original I believe with maybe a Bone? Insert where the Strings lay on it, very Cool and a Great Idea, it is more Like a Banjo Bridge. The Neck is Straight and the Action is just about right. The Back has some Scratches and maybe a Slight Crack in One Place, it looks like Weather Checking more then anything, but I will mention it just to be sure, it does not give and the Mandolin is About the Best Condition I have Seen one of these Old ones like this. It is not Perfect, but it is a Nice Cool Vintage Instrument that can Be Played, with NICE Brazilian Rosewood Back ! I would Rate it a 7 out of 10, and with a Set up and some Polish in the Right hands it will look Great.
