Vintage Danish Hans Olsen for Frem Rojle extending table and 6 chairs.

This is an extending Frem Rojle nesting dining set designed by Hans Olsen for Frem Rojle in the late s. We have owned this set for nearly 24 years. The three legged chairs fit under the table into the frieze rail producing a neat round table which easily seats four, perfect for smaller areas. When more serving space is needed, the table pulls apart and a book folding leaf swings out from the mechanism underneath to form a larger oval table. The table top is a dark teak, the table frieze, legs and chairs are made from a darker beautifully figured Afromosia wood. The chairs have the original black vinyl leather sponge seat pads. The whole set is in very good condition, and the table top has recently been restored professionally, but is now darker which matches the legs. There are Some slight marks of age, as shown. One of the seat pads has a small split in which could be repaired. It is overall in original cherished condition. We no longer need this table due to a change of circumstances. Collection in person, cash on collection preferred please, not Paypal. We are happy if you want to arrange your own courier for collection at a mutually suitable time. The table legs remove and the chairs stack making the set easier to transport. If you need to know more, just ask. A very impressive solid oak dining table and six solid oak chairs, no veneer! Table is 90cm wide by 140cm long and 79 cm high. The table extends to 180 cm long and comfortably seats six with plenty of room for all the tabletop accessories to accompany a dinner party or the upcoming Christmas dinner! We've comfortably seated 10 for Christmas dinner. The table is easily extended, locking in to place with brass sprung catches. The centre extension is solid oak and not veneered as in many "solid oak" tables on the market today. The six ladder back chairs are 108 cm tall and the actual seat area is 46 cm wide and 43 cm deep. Vintage Oak Dining Table & 6 Chairs, Kitchen, Extending

This is a lovely vintage extending table with six chairs, circa `s. All the pieces are made from solid oak with a rich, dark stain and patina. The table has draw leaves which extend it to seat six people, possibly eight at a push, and the chairs have unusual angled backs and have red leather look seats, although two have a much older looking green material which would probably need to be replaced. The table and chairs are structurally sound and in good vintage condition with light wear. The table top has some very light scratches and a couple of small knocks, also it may have had an additional coat of stain at some point as there are very slight brush marks. There is a very slight crack to one edge. The chairs have some small scuffs and the odd knock, there is some old worm to the underside of one seat which we have treated.
